Aiki-jô - staff

Aiki-ken - sword

Arigato gozaimashita - thank you (past tense)

Arigato gozaimasu - thank you (present tense)

Ayumi-ashi irimi - striding irimi

Bokken - wooden sword

Dojo - martial art practice area

Funakogi undô - boat rowing exercise

Furutama undô - breathing exercise

Gokyô - fifth basic pin

Hanmi - basic triangular stance

Ushiro kubi-jime - choke hold from behind

Ushiro ryôkata-tori - shoulders grabbed from rear

Ushiro ryôte-tori - wrists grabbed from rear

Ushiro ryôtekubi-tori - same as ushiro ryote-tori

Waza - technique

Yoko - side

Yokomen - side of head

Yokomen-uchi - strike to side of head
